Tursunoy Tashpulatova

Master
at Hunarmand
Tashkent,
,
Uzbekistan

Tursunoy Kamiljanovna Tashpulatova, born in 1964, holds a specialized secondary education degree (from a College of Trade and Industry) and possesses a total professional work history spanning 38 years.
She began her career in 1988 within the garment industry. Thanks to her exceptional sense of responsibility and professional expertise, she was entrusted not only with fulfilling standard orders but also with creating stage costumes for renowned folk artists.
Since 2010, she has devoted special attention to *kurak*—a form of traditional national craftsmanship that was at risk of fading into obscurity—setting herself the mission of preserving and fostering these national cultural values. Following a meeting with the country's leader, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during the quarantine period of 2021, she made a firm commitment to actively develop and revitalize this craft.
Since 2023, she has been a member of the "Hunarmand" Association. To date, she has trained over 200 students, who are now successfully working not only within Uzbekistan but also in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the administration of the Yangi Hayot district, she has trained more than 20 women in need of social support; through government subsidies, she provided them with sewing machines and the necessary equipment, thereby helping them secure permanent employment.
Currently, she is teaching the art of *kurak* to young women with disabilities, helping them find their place in society, establish a source of income, and confidently build their future.
